Computer systems have evolved with time, and so have the operating system. They have both become complex, yet are quite easy to use! With time, they have become more reliable, more spacious, more user-friendly. But does that mean that they are not prone to virus attack, software bugs, crashing, abrupt system shut down due to power failure, or power surge. No, not really! Though, they are improving with time, and these issues are not causing as much havoc, as they used to, yet, the systems are not completely prone to them! Not even a single application that runs on these computers has been able to escape the problems thus caused. For example, Outlook mail application can fall prey to a system crash. And in case, these problems affect a system, the user has little choice, but to opt for Outlook Recovery.

Ever encountered blue screen along with crashing of my Windows 2002 operating system? Ever expected that suddenly the mail folder would stop responding? Well, I had! And, one fine day, after one such similar crash, my Outlook 2000 mail folder refused to start, and I was at a loss, not knowing what to do, and what not to do? And, all my mails, attached files, contacts, notes, etc were lost! I didn't know what to do? Then I learnt through somebody about ways to perform PST file recovery!

There is a tool known as the Inbox Repair Tool, known as scanpst.exe that can be used to repair the PST file. The scanpst.exe file can be searched with the help of Search for files or folders available in the Start menu. Once the search is complete and the scanpst.exe file is found, it needs to be started, and path and file name of the personal folders file needs to be typed. Clicking on browse can also help in searching for it.

But, in my case, it didn't help me in Outlook recovery. And since I didn't have a backup, I had to then opt for a third-party pst file recovery tool to repair my file, and to be able to access my mails, contacts, etc. I had learnt that these tools were highly sophisticated, and employed complex algorithms to a copy of the PST file to extract all the inaccessible data, for the user.

Stellar Phoenix Outlook PST Recovery Software not only repairs the PST file, but performs selective folder recovery. The tool can recover a individual or all the emails. Individual mails can be saved in MSG or EML file format. The tool supports recovery from MS Outlook 2010, 2007, 2003, 2002 and 2000 applications, and is compatible with Windows 7, Vista, XP, 2003, 2000 and NT4.
